TUESDAY RESULTS FROM THE ACTING COMMISH
It was really a beautiful day for golf!
Only 8 played, but they were treated to a delightful 17 holes. (12 was closed. Installing drainage.) And because we didn't have to play 12, 5 of the 8 players will see an increase in their quotas. The team of Clark, Aholt, Moosmann and Kossmann won the front comfortably ... +5 to -1 over the team of Hall, Coleman, Voss and Dister. However, the also-rans on the front chalked up a tidy little +6 to +2 on the back. That means that team Clark won total +7 to +5. Individually, Terry wins the star of the day. He won the front and total at +3, +5 and tied the back at +2 with Hall and Aholt. A 4-way tie for second on the front by Voss, Coleman, Clark and Aholt won them each a quarter. Lots of smirking, but the Commish feels if you win it ... you get it. Dister won the back at +4 and came in 2nd total at the same number.
Dister +1 to 30. Aholt +1 to 30. Hall +1 to 32. Moosmann +1 to 27. Clark +1 to 34.

IT WAS A TALE OF TWO TEAMS
Reporting in from Boulder Junction (no...not Petticoat Junction) Wisconsin, with temperatures in the mid 70's......It was almost Goldlilocks golf yesterday, as one team was too hot...and the other team was too cold. Dave Aholt swept the individual with a nice little 70...+5, +3, +8. His team of Bob, Tim, and Terry also swept the team game..+8, +1, +9. The other Dave, D took second on the front +3, with Terry being 2nd on the back +1, and tying 2nd total with the acting commish, +2. I'm hoping to play a little golf myself the next few days and catch a few fish...maybe the ellusive Muskie!! Stay Cool.
Aholt +1 to 30. Hall -1 to 31. Moosmann +1 to 26.

FROM THE MOUTH OF THE ACTING COMMISH
THERE'S A NEW SHERIFF IN TOWN
Mike Clark's natural 68 (+2, +4, +6) leads his team of Dunlavy and Dister to a clean sweep (+3, +3, +6) with the only positive team scores of the day. Individually, Dister takes the front at +3, Clark is second at +2 and Coleman, Sharma and Aholt tie for third at Even. Clark's +4 on the back (a natural 33) easily wins first with Dunlavy and Hall tied at 2nd and 3rd at +1. Clark wins total and Dister finishes 2nd at +1. Hall and Coleman tie for third at even. By the way, Hall eagles the 18th to get to even on the back and I'm here to tell you the pin placement on that hole was as close to a joke as we've seen all year. All the way back left. Hall's ball trickled into the hole, but if it had missed, it would've gone off the green and down the hill.
Leroy Eggert drops 1 to 30. The only change of the day.

BILL HALL.....ONCE AGAIN LEADS HIS TEAM TO A COMPLETE SWEEP
It was one of the most impressive team performances of the year...Bill Hall, Charlie's Voss and Johnson each played well as their team swept the front, +8, back +8, and total +16. Each teams total score was positive for the day. Tuesday saw 8 of 10 Old Timers post positive results. Bill continues his stellar play winning all three ways with +5, +4, +9 for a 40 point day which equates to a smooth 67. Well done. Bob +4, 2nd on the front (32 by the way). Dave D had another solid day taking 3rd on the front, +3, 2nd back and total, +3, +6. Mac +3 tied 2nd on the back. Charlie J with +4 takes 3rd total.
Bill Hall +1 to 32. Mac Miller +1 to 25.

ANOTHER GUEST APPEARANCE FROM THE ACTING COMMISH
BARKIES ABOUND!!!
The golf course sounded like a shooting range! The crack, crack, crack of ball after ball hitting tree after tree continually rang out. There were 9 players today. On the 15th hole alone, my three-player team team hit 5 trees and accumulated a grand total of -1 points. This reporter witnessed Tom Dunalvy hitting three, separate trees ... and a bush .... with his tee ball on #18!!! As my team was moving down the 16th fairway, a twosome of young men (not affiliated with The Oldtimers) both hit a tree with their tee balls on #15. Not possible you say? I saw it with my own eyes. Matching toe shots from the blue tee!!! The way my team was playing ... and the tortoise-like pace-of-play ... something had to keep me involved other than the hideousness of my own golf. The team of C. Voss, Sharma and Dunlavy won the front at +2 and tied the total at -5. They tied with the team of Hall, Moosmann and Dennis Kossmann (welcome back, Dennis) who also took the back at -2. Dunlavy won the Front Individual with the best nine holes of any player ... +2. Second and third were split at even by Voss, Sharma and Kossmann. Bill Hall won the back with the only other plus score of the day .... +1 ... and Voss, Eichelberger and Kossmann split 2nd and third with -1. Hall wins total at Even and Voss, Dunlavy and Kossmann split 2nd and third at -1. Harrison and Dister leave the field ... penniless!! No changes in any quota.

THE LATEST COMMENTARY FROM THE ACTING COMMISH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WILD BILL HALL BLISTERS THE 11-MAN-FIELD ON A SCORCHER OF A DAY.
Bill's 1-under, 1-under 69 translated into a +4, +4, +8 day. He easily won all three legs of the individual and dragged his teammates, Voss and Eichelberger ... kicking and screaming ... over the finish line to win the back nine at +1. The steady play of Harrison, Moosmann, Eggert and Dister took the front at +6 and total at +5. Denny Harrison was the lone standout on the back for that team at +3 giving him 2nd on the back and 2nd on total at +5. He and partner Leroy split 2nd and third on the front at +2, Tom Dunlavy took third on the back at +1. And Clark, Eggert and Dister split 3rd on total. Aholt drops 1 to 29. Hall goes +1 to 31. Harrison also jumps up 1 to 25. Eggert gains a point to 31. Purschke loses 1 to 22.

THE MOOSE WAS LOOSE!!!!!...........................................................LIVE COMMENTARY BY THE ACTING COMMISH
THE MOOSE WAS LOOSE!! And he tore through the 9-man field with ease!! Terry Moosmann had quite a day to say the very least. The 25-quota-competitor was +9 on the day. Plus 5 on the front. Plus 4 on the back. In so doing, he led his team of Aholt and Dister to a clean sweep on the day. Plus 3 on the front. Plus 6 on the back. Plus 9 total. DD got a distant second with +1 on the front, +2 on the back, +3 total. Third individual was a 4-way tie on the front shared by BC/CV/TD/MM at even. Third on the back and total was shared by BC and MM at +1. Aholt +1 to 30. Coleman +1 to 35.

SATURDAY AS VIEWED FROM THE EYES OF THE ACTING COMMISH
Without further ado I bring you the Acting Commish................................................................................................
IT WAS A RAY KINDA DAY ... (With a big dash of Tim thrown in!)
Does anybody but me remember a ridiculous TV game show from decades ago called The Gong Show? Chuck Barris was the contentious host, and one of his competing regulars was a comedian who wore a paper bag over his head while he was doing his act. His name? The Unknown Comic! Well imagine Hall, Harrison, Moosmann and Dister with bags over their heads today. The Unknown Oldtimers! The team of Sharma, Morris, Dunlavy and Purschke swept the day, leaving the Unknowns licking their wounds ... +9, even and +9. Individually, Tim's +7 was good enough to take the front with Ray's +5 coming in second. On the back, Ray threw Dave D. a little crumb and allowed a +2 tie for first and second. That gave Ray an easy total at +7 ... a natural 1-under round ... and he didn't even stick around to pick up the spoils, leaving that task to Grampa Tom. Ray goes +1 to 31 and Tim goes +1 to 24.

THURSDAY'S LARGE GROUP PROVIDES SOME EXCELLENT RESULTS
14 Old Timers took part in yesterdays play providing some stellar numbers. Tom +5, drug his team of Charlie's J +3, and V +3, along with Mike +4 to substantial victories on the back +15!! and total +13. Dennis carried Bill and Tim to a win on the front +4. They were +6 and +10 on the back and total and didn't even get a little kiss. Oh well. Dennis wins the front +6, Tom is 2nd +4, and stranger Paul Nealis takes 3rd +2. Tom and Tim tie the back +5, with Mike in 3rd +4. Tom easily wins total +9, with Dennis +7, and Tim +6. Again some excellent play yesterday.
Seven of 14 players have a quota change: M. Miller -1 to 24; B. Hall -1 to 30; D. Harrison +1 to 24; C. Johnson +1 to 31; T. Dunlavy +1 to 23; P. Nealis -1 to 26 and L. Eggert -1 to 30.
