Golf News: The USGA had
representatives on our course Wednesday morning of this week (9/4). The crew
shot yardages from the black tees and then measured the greens and bunkers. They will return in a couple weeks for a thorough measure from all
tee boxes and plan to play the course to validate the difficulty, etc. Then
we’ll get the rating of our course and perhaps some handicap changes.
NOTE #1: Heads up for Thursday the 19th… First tee times ‘may’ be moved to 11:10 due to availability. Will keep you posted.
NOTE #2: Closest to the holes
for September are #5 & #11.
Conditions: On Thursday, ten
golfers played on warm day, 87-91 degrees, 2-4 mph winds, 50% humidity, dry fairways
and slightly fast greens.
Team Winners: Coleman, Johnson & Moosman swept the
front (+1), back (+3) and total (+4).
Individual Winners: Purschke won the front (+3). Johnson won the back (+4) and total (+4).
Closest to the Holes: Coleman
won #5 and Johnson won #11.
Even/Plus Points Club: Johnson
(+4), Coleman (+1) and Dunlavy & Purschke (€).
75 & Below Score Club: Clark, Coleman & Johnson all in at (73).
