Conditions:  On Tuesday, eight golfers played on very chilly and windy day, 54-57 degrees, 9-19 mph winds, 45% humidity, dry fairways and mid-speed greens.

Team Winners:  Dunlavy, Eggert, Hall & Kossmann swept with a stellar front (-9), an impressive back (-8) and a commanding total (-17). Believe it or not, this team finished 13 strokes ahead of their challengers! Let’s just say… the wind was the real winner!

Individual Winners:  Moosman won the front (+1) and total (-2).  Hall won the back (-1).

Golf Stuff: In strong headwinds, expect reduced distance, so opt for one or two clubs higher to compensate. Conversely, in tailwinds, select a lower club to avoid overshooting the target. For crosswinds, use clubs with minimal shot dispersion and slightly aim into the wind to offset drift. To counteract the wind, play a knockdown shot by lowering your ball flight. Grip down on the club, position the ball slightly back in your stance, and focus on a three-quarter swing. This helps keep the ball under the wind and reduces its effect on the shot.
