Golf Stuff: Aldrich Potgieter is
officially a PGA Tour winner! The 20-year-old South African clinched the 2025
Rocket Classic title in dramatic fashion, surviving a wild three-man playoff
against Max Greyserman and Chris Kirk. All
three finished regulation at 22-under-par, forcing extra holes. Kirk bowed out
after missing a short par putt on the second playoff hole, and Potgieter
finally sealed the deal on the fifth playoff hole with a clutch 17-foot birdie
putt on the par-3 15th. This marks
Potgieter’s first PGA Tour victory, earning him $1.728 million and a spot in
the 2026 Masters. Not bad for someone who wasn’t even born when Tiger Woods won
his first eight majors.
