Happy New Year!!

January 2020 has arrived..the PGA Tour is teeing it up this week at Kapalua under less than ideal conditions... and quite a few Old Timers have been showing up at the friendly confines of Franklin County to do a little battle. . Even though our playing conditions here have been a little dicey...the scoring doesn't reflect that at all. Luckily for some of us, Bob C has departed for his abode in Texas.
Bob has been playing some excellent golf..and we should probably change the name for greenies to Bobbies!! There are plenty of carts with covers and heaters..so if you feel the itch to tee it up, come on out.
According to the head muckity mucks...there will be some changes made going forward on how point totals will be calculated. -3 is the cap on daily negative point totals, and the last 10 scores will determine your required point totals. Updates will begin again starting March 1. Point totals to be used until then are as follows:

Old Timers battle the elements...

5 Old Timers with covers and heaters in place wondered where in the hell fall went as they teed it up today. Cart path only, plugged and overseeded rough added to the enjoyment. TM with +3, +1 wins the front and total. CJ wins the back at -1.
TM wins greenies on 3 and 5. CJ wins #7. Easy to see that TM and CJ took home all of the cash today. Conditions were fairly severe for late October.

Old Timers flock to the course on a beautiful day.

Thursdays beautiful weather brought out 12 Old Timers. With the exception of two players, scoring was less than stellar. only 6 of the 24 nines saw positive outcomes. The team of DD, CV, and JE won the front with +2 and total with +1. DH, RS,  and TM won the back with a score of even. Individual was a battle between DA (+5, E, +5) and JE (+6, +1, +7). DH sneaks in a victory on the back at +3.

Greenies....#3 JE, #5 DH, #7 BH, #11 BH, #14 RS

Again this week, there will be no Old Timer of the Week. As a refresher...players must compete on both Tuesday and Thursday to be eligible for consideration. Two solid days of total play, including greenie success is a requirement to winning.

I apologize for the blank spaces the last two posts. I've got no clue as to why.

Walk-on newcomer Ray Sharma was welcomed  today by the Old Timers. It is rumored that RP mentioned that he has underwear older than that kid! To show that youth means nothing, well not too much anyway, the team of BH, RP, and CJ captured the front and total with +5, +6. Led by the youngster, DA, CV,  and RS won the back with +5.
CJ who proudly said that he only hit three greens in regulation, was a chipping fool as he carded a little 73. He won the back and total with +3, +5. The youngster, RS with his youthful stamina wins the back with +3.
Greenies as follows...#3 BH, #5 RP, #7 RS, #11 DA, #14 BH
Hall drops 1 to 28, Johnson goes up 1 to 30, Sharma goes up 2 to 30.
