GIMMIE..GIMMIE..GIMMEE..SOME LOV'IN

Okay, now that I have your undivided attention, it's time to discuss a topic close to your average Old Timers heart..(yeah I know not all of us have hearts!!) "The Gimmie Putt". Not to be confused with the widely popular "Purschke", which admit it we have all at one time or another benefitted from one. Starting next Tuesday, everyone will be asked to place a circle of tape "24 from the grip end of your putter on the shaft. Any ball that touches the tape is considered to be good and need not be putted. The Old Timers have always had the tradition of putting everything that wasn't inside the leather or tape on the flagstick. As time has passed we have strayed from that simple premise of measuring all potential "Gimmee's". Eyeballing is not considered a satisfactory method of measuring your putt. Please discuss any questions next week with the Acting Commish that you may have. If you need help bending down to measure your putt...I'm sure one of your teammates will offer assistance. See you all next week.
Gimme All Your Lovin Boys!!
