The recent rains we have had has been a boon to the ability of our rough to far exceed US Open conditions. Let's face it
Old Timer's..how often could we surpass the conditions at the Holy Grail of golf tournaments??
Just my opinion!!!
Ok..back to to wit and wisdom of the acting commish.....
The Re-emergence of Bill Hall
On a spectacularly beautiful Saturday, 7 Oldtimers attacked a wet and Healthy (to quote the blogger) golf course. The team of Bill Hall, Terry Moosman, Leroy Eggert and Dave Dister prevailed on the front, back and total over the team of Dennis Harrison, Bob Coleman and Ray Sharma.
Terry Moosaman led Team Hall with a tasty +2 on the front to take individual honors. And when Moosman threw a shoe on the back, Hall took the reins with and almost unbelievable +4 and led his team kicking and screaming across the finish line.
TM wins the front, BH wins back and total.
BH -1 +4 +3
TM +2 -1 +1
LE -3 -2 -5
DD +1 -1 0 Team = -1 0 -1
DH 0 +1 +1
RS -4 -2 -6
BC +1 -4 -3 Team = -3 -5 -8
BH +1 to 27, RS -1 to 28 and with one on the vagaries of the quota game, LE drops a 26 and adds a 27 which raises him +1 to 31.
